Our military is always “preparing” for all kinds of conflict scenarios. There’s probably a “plan” to invade Canada in a drawer somewhere in the Pentagon “just in case.”
Wake me up when we start positioning personnel and materiel in a fashion that’s more specifically aggressive to China than our baseline.
Now, if we want to talk about adjusting our global baseline down, I’m definitely here for that…
(PS - I bet we have a plan for responding to possible Chinese aggressive actions in September 2024, too.)
