Your link wasn’t instance agnostic, which means people can’t join the community when they go there. If you type [email protected] or /c/[email protected] then it will generate an instance agnostic link without you typing in the code.
Hi there! Looks like you linked to a Lemmy community using a URL instead of its name, which doesn’t work well for people on different instances. Try fixing it like this: [email protected]
i still find it weird that’s it’s called infinity. i know it’s not illegal, but why not just call it "eternity for lemmy"or something?
Maybe they want to attract the original crowd. And the only association right now is the name
