It’s not a community, Kbin’s Random is where all the content of the Fediverse that doesn’t belong to a community goes. So this is an issue of Kbin federating with a bad server (probably microblog), and this ending up in the Lemmy feed through Kbin’s microblogging integration.

There are several problems here. It’s possible that !Random shouldn’t be making it’s way to Lemmy at all (or possibly not even be federated), as it’s not interesting to its users; Kbin should probably block the servers hosting this; and Lemmy should have a sorting algorithm where random posts with no upvotes or comments don’t make it to the top.

Might be worth making @ernest aware of the kbin side of the issue, though it’s probably on his todo list already. :)
