Hey everyone.
Does anyone else have the same issue with the comments not being displayed properly? For lots of comments it shows the “view parent” link which just links to the main post again. It’s impossible to see the actual parent comment.
I’ve also seen comments switch indentation places
This happens to me when comment sort is set to Top. Try changing it to Hot.
I changed back to Hot, comments are still messing up.
I think it has something to do with the language settings, for example I couldn’t see the comments on this thread, I logged in via the web version chagned my settings to include Undetermined, English and my native language and now I can see the comments (both using the web app and Sync).

PS: And in order to post this comment, I had to select explicitly that it is written in English…
Bug with Lemmy itself in v0,18.3, can be fixed with a wonky hack.
Until then, just use Hot sort instead of Top.
Does the missing comment show up in the Lemmy web UI?
I think this just happens when a comment gets deleted. Sync can show the child comments, but the Lemmy UI just hides the entire thread.
on a sidenote: are you able to submit posts from the app? Mine says “Coming soon”
No, that part isn’t ready yet. I saw someone say it might be in the next week or so.
I’m seeing this too, it’s hard to tell if it’s a Sync issue or defederated instances (Beehaw users?)

I’m having some comment related issues as well where comments don’t show up in the threads when I click on them via my inbox. Not sure if that’s related.
