    When I read the 4 Hour Work Week years ago it was exactly the same thing. Turns out the “secret” to getting rich has always been “get someone else to do your work for you for a pittance of the money you can make off that work.”

    Companies have been doing this since time immemorial. I guess because it’s TikTok influencers it’s easier to rage about?

    What if I did this but actually paid them decently more than they would expect in their area and provided nice tools, accommodations, and hours?

      I do this. If I have to hire offshore, they’re going to get paid like local royalty. Paid holidays etc. Gotta treat people like people.

        Damn straight! I worked with remote Indian devs and always treated them with respect like any other colleague, in addition to taking extra time to explain the specifics of the project which many of my local coworkers never bothered. It always went well and I had excellent relationships with them.
