I got a poncho for indoor. It was so confy I wear it to the cinema but I felt like everyone was staring at me.
Thoughts? My mother said I look like I smoke weed all day when she saw me and my gf said I look like some eco hippy bum.
I dont know. Those are two opinions but I wanted to know what you all think.
Edit: i know my jeans are dirty. I just finished mudding a small wall and thought I can do that without making a mess lol

Those opinions are probably representative. If you’re cool with people thinking that about you, then go for it.

Those are the opinions of people around you. Traditional hippie bum/ pot smoker type wear something like that in movies in the 1990s. So people may look at you with that sentiment. If you don’t care then just wear it. But keep in mind your gf opinion, maybe just don’t wear it out with her.
My first instinct wouldn’t be weed but you’re going to get stares simply because it’s not something people wear a lot (where I’m at at least). As others have said it’ll be down to what you’re willing to put up with.
Now that I think about it, the pattern is also probably a factor. If it was all black you’d probably get way less attention for it.
There is but one relevant question: Is that a real Mexican poncho, or is that a Sears poncho?

I would. The llama is cool. I’m not particularly self conscious about my clothing these days.
Personally I live in an area with many hispanic and indigenous people and it makes me think of South America, not hippies. But who knows, I had green hiking pants and found out that many people thought I was walking around in wannabe military gear, so knowing the perceptions of your intended audience helps, especially when they’re different than your own.
