Greetings-- I’m from a universe where Elizabeth Warren got the nomination and still had to deal with Manchin and Sinema holding up everything. It’s all… Kind of… pretty similar, all things considered.

In my travels I met a guy who came from a universe where Gore won in 2000. Now those guys are wild!

Elizabeth Warren literally wrote the book on my biggest issue, and I imagine a lot of other people too. The two income trap, the problem where we track family income as opposed to individual incomes and use that metric to determine how well people are doing…

Yeah, family income showed continued growth as women entered the workforce in greater and greater numbers, but individuals aren’t doing as well… As someone who is perpetually single my economic well being apparently isn’t important because I’m not married or with someone I can share economic burdens with…

I know, and I voted for that very reason. She was the smartest option we had but everyone was scared she couldn’t beat Biden. All things considered, most of her power would be in what she says and what influence she could have. But I don’t think fundemental changes, like the two income problem, probably wouldn’t be solved with a Warren presidency alone. We still have a broken congress.

In any case, you keep education folks! It’s important people know issues are more than just the hot topics in the news.
