I gave up on reddit, going to try my best to participate and post on lemmy from now on, although when I am searching for an answer for something a lot of threads are on reddit so it will take time and effort on all of us to get lemmy to that point
I’m using reddit until RIF stops working, then Lemmy will take over exclusively on mobile. I’ll probably still check reddit on desktop, but that’s like less than 5% of my typical use.
I’m still gonna use Reddit on my computer, but not having a functional app is gonna make Reddit unusable on my phone.
I said the same thing at first, but then once I broke the habit of mindlessly opening Reddit is Fun on my phone, I just naturally stopped going to the site on my computer too.
Well, okay I still open it up once every couple of days to check a few small subs that don’t exist here yet, but aside from that I’m FINALLY FREE
The apps for both Android and IOS are improving every day. Search for your device and find a list of available apps
I’m talking about Reddit, not Lemmy. I’ve already tried out most Lemmy apps, and they’re incredibly promising; far better than the unusable trash Reddit wants me to use.
You mean to tell me that apps made by community volunteers as a labor of love in a couple of weeks are better than the app made by a for-profit company and has been developed for years? Funny how that works.
I went cold turkey on reddit. I’ve never felt so disrespected by a website. Not only was it so greedy, they attacked the very people who kept the site working. I moderated 12 different subs which all are restricted now so no new content.
Props and thank you (and everyone else) for sticking to it
Some Reddit communities are still flourishing so I use both!
Yeahh babyy
