Jamie Dimon can forever suck my taint. In 2021 he told us, after record breaking profits, that they couldn’t afford raises or bonuses.

After a grueling year of insane productivity. After all the software devs were pushed to work 60-70 hours a week, every single week. My team had to work till 9pm every single Friday for deployments. But yeah, you can’t afford bonuses or even a cost of living raise.

    Fuck him

They still have excess money from COVID. — They’re still spending it down. Housing prices are up, stock prices are up, jobs are plentiful

How much money do they think people have left over from Covid?

People got like $3200 total in stimulus checks - or a couple months rent in most parts of the country. There is no way most people have this money 3 years later.

Also stocks and home prices being up is good for some people (old) and bad for others (young).

      Jobs are plentiful, lol.

Yeah but…WHAT jobs? Oh you mean the ones that’re still paying $7.25? Those ones?

That’s another “let them eat cake” moment. The stimulus checks covered a month’s groceries at best for most families.

I remember the stimulus checks and how they were solely made to push people to spend more to try and stabilize the economy. They really thought at the time that these checks were supposed to last people, when most people spent them trying to catch up on expenses.

I knew that they’d be thinking this way after that.
