    So, let’s just say the voting machines are connected to the internet. But with ethernet. Or a bluetooth tether. Or a USB - Sim based tether.

    This wouldnt detect it at all?

    If election polls are using HTTP authentication, File Transfer Protocol, and/or Telnet, they’re in bigger trouble than I thought. It’s not tough to know HTTPS, Secure File Transfer Protocol, and SSH will be a huge prevention measure for WiFi sniffers and just much more secure overall. Plus they really should be using a sniffer themselves to monitor outside attempts like this…
