She’s playing to her base.

It would not surprise me in the LEAST to see her starve herself skinny again because she thinks she has this opportunity to be a real, famous model. Considering her top, number one, all-around lifetime goals involve her looks and being celebrated for them, I wouldn’t bat an eye if she said hello again to the disordered, dysfunctional relationship she apparently had with food (and never treated).

She can starve herself but she’s never going to have a young body again and the extra skin needs to be surgically removed. She’ll have to go into hiding for a while

Just odd behaviour when your family and HUSBAND is in the next room.

These jeans are really hanging low too. Is she buying bigger sizes to appear like she’s losing weight? She’s playing with my mind.

I was going to mention that! The whole point of this photo was just to show us all how big the waist on her shorts is.

Same. My fiancé pokes fun at me when I take a couple selfies (Sarah takes more in a day than I do in a year lol), I couldn’t imagine how he’d feel if I was doing what she does and posting it all. Clearly she isn’t getting his attention though.

I’m wondering if they may not belong to her. The kids are wearing longer denim shorts in a bigger size than they wear and then they belt it

Good point. Whoever knows with this woman. She plays with my mind with her different sizes every single day, shorts hanging off her today, yesterday her shorts are riding up her so hard. She’s so confusing.

I too was OotL. From the channel sidebar:

The woman we’re discussing is a body positive influencer and media personality who has gained fame and wealth by lying, manipulating, exploiting her children for content, plagiarizing BIPOC creators and blaming her BIPOC content editor for it (thereby ruining her career), among other things. Her fraudulent behavior is no different argue worse) from the likes of Jay Shetty (google him if you don’t know who he is or what he did). She’s the latest in a long line of grifting influencers who are abusing their power, taking advantage of their position and exploiting their followers. The difference is that she’s Canadian. Our laws around social media and advertising aren’t as clear (and where they are she’s disobeyed them), add to that, our mainstream media has protected her from those who’ve tried to expose her grift and silenced/intimidated anyone who’s tried to speak out.

She claims to be “body positive” which is a movement that encourages inclusivity of all shapes and sizes. But one of the things we are most outraged about is her use of face and body slimming filters. Often you can see the filters glitch. And she appears very very different in other peoples images of her. Her nose changes more often than my teenage daughter’s moods.
She is a contradiction. Her behavior underscores unhealthy body issues, not body positivity. So it fucjs with women/people who are working on self acceptance.

We definitely understand we’re not for everyone! I think this community shows up on the main feed more as Lemmy is less active than Reddit. On Reddit we had 6K members but that’s not that much for Reddit.
