“Civil War” in the context of reactionaries is a moderation friendly way of saying race war.

So they’re saying, “global race war”.

Only thing I could come up with would be that they only know of ‘The Civil War’ in the context of the US, so this would be some sort of global fight about making slavery no longer legal for them perhaps? All the talk of global north / global south has just wooshed over their galaxy-brain

This is what happens when someone taps into the ether and after a long session of huffing western chauvinism, they excrete some vibes-based political analysis.

Although, on the subject of ComradeSalad’s analysis of the phrase, I would say there already long has been a “race war”, it’s just a one-sided “war” being waged by the institution of white supremacy against everyone they deem non-white. So reading it in that way, I guess the reactionary in the screenshot would be hoping for a more explicit race war over the already existing more coded one.

Maybe across the west, if the collective masses of those with any speck of decency- or barring that, the self-preservation and sanity to want to avoid WW3 (and to recognize the present system is wholly and utterly unsustainable and destructive) actually rise up.

Across the rest of the world, not so much, though not for lack of trying from the west to stir up terrorists and extremists wherever possible.

I’m not saying what they’re saying has any basis in reality. I’m just giving a possible explanation for what they could mean.

Possibly a case of a westoid stretching their imagination into believing that a civil unrest in their country must be an indication of civil unrest around the world.

If actually a civil war breaks out in the imperial core, there are high chances that there would be peace in the other areas of the world.

Can’t have wars between nations if you don’t teach people that other nations exist or aren’t truly sovereign.

I love the idea that he thinks everyone on Earth would go apeshit just because of the US election
