    Anyone who would consent to being coined a ‘gold star family’ are the same people who would use the term to get a free appetizer with the purchase of a ‘premium’ entree at applebee’s.

    It’s like when the CO’s spouse wants to be called by their partner’s rank. GTFO here with that shit.

    Your family member gambled their life for the g.i. bill and a shot at a decent pension, they lost fighting a bullshit war, go cry into your busch light.

      Those are a lot of assumptions and generalizations about a very broad group of people. How does recognizing a family’s loss relate to a spouse wanting a title they haven’t earned? Feel free to keep any dumb opinions to yourself.
