The translation is off, “gewaltbereit” doesn’t mean violent, but more something along the lines of “willing/ready to do violence”

It still kinda implies that she has possibly already done violence, but the meaning is more about being capable of doing violence in the future

Fits not really. In Germany, such terms as “possibly” are not used. Their meaning is considered equal to “everything is possible, because nothing is known”.

Fun fact: Being carried away doing absolutly nothing (litteraly, with that being the reason you are carried away) already counts as violence against the police in the german crime statistics

Her crime was speaking out against the Machine. So to fight back, they label her as violent, because she threatens the very thing they hold dear: blind conformance.

She was part of a relativly small protest in Berlin, in which some started throwing glass bottles on the police, burned a bunch of trash cans and threw some liquid on a tv team near the protests.

Some started, aftervthe police stormed into the protest violently to do arbitrary arrests.

since a few month at the protests in Berlin it is normal for multiple people to be injured so severly, that they need an ambulance, people to be choked unconscious by police, police denying access for doctors to injured people, police randomly hitting, shoving, kicking people and of course beating people up that are arrested.

All of these are documented on video. The police deliberately escalates to violence, while present press from pro zionist, racist media outlets like Axel Springer or Tagesspiegel conveniently ignore the police violence to paint the protests as aggressive afterwards.

Oh amd plus points for the police to target teenagers and women, to ensure people to get aggressive, when they see grown men violently attacking boys and girls. weighing half of their weight.

If you want to show police violence, it is incredibly important for the protest not get violent itself. Thunberg being part of it, meant more media then normal and 400 protestors is low enough for everybody to stay on message.

If you are attacked by Police there is two options. Get beaten up and be called violent for resisting arrest or get beaten up slightly less by fighting back and get called violent.

The goal of the police, the nationalist mayor of Berlin (he thinks the name of someome should be deciding about who is a “real” German and who is “only” a German citizen) and the authoritarian interior ministers is to beat the protestors up so much, that they stop protesting. It is a classic authoritarian violent repressive strategy. They tried to get the courts to ban protests altogether, but the courts aren’t put in line yet. There is complicit media outlets, similar to fox news in the anglosphere.

There is people who seek fights as a form of protest in Berlin, but this is in non announced actions or after the police violently ended announced demonstrations. There is videos of these where they shoot fireworks and put barricades on the streets. But these are very different from the regular protests and i would be extremely suprised if Thunberg has anything to do with these.

That’s not how this works. This is assuming it was premeditated, planned, they went in to become violent. This in no way means she is or may become violent herself. Especially when we have to assume any protest has at least one or two rabble-rousers.

This is false. The police is escalating violence at the prptests to paint them as violent. People resisting intimidation by an authoritarian police state, is a hallmark of antifascism.

Still the protest was much smaller on Monday than protests on Sunday with thousands of people, because it was Monday first of all and second of all the police heavily advertised their arsenal, including Snipers, This intimidated away some people like families with children.

Meanwhile a pro-Israeli “leftist” protest on Saturday only achieved 500 participants after mobilising for a month in all of Germany.

These “Antideutsch” are often called “Ultradeutsch” by their critics now because they are anti muslim racists, cheer on police violence and demand more slaughter of Arabs and Palestinians. They claim to be Antifa, while being deeply ingrained in the German state and its suppression systems. They often hold positions in political think tanks, “antidiscrimination” NGOs and cultural institutions. Aside from racism there they perpetrate antisemitism against Jews critical of Israel by cancelling them, taking away their funding or in cases like the “bajszel” bar, violently throw them out at events supposedly about preventing antisemitism.

These political groups have created a weird zombie of marxist ideas and try to redeem themselves from the guilt of their nazi grandfathers, not by not being violent bigots, but by using israel as their nationalist pride and brown people as their targets.

Luckily they are a fringe group by numbers, but because they are coopted by the state and mainstream actors they have disproportionate funding, attention and political power.

Just often what you call “critical of Israel” is actually being against the very existence of Israel. Also I know plenty of Antideutsche. While some can be pretty unhinged, there are plenty who aren’t anti-Muslim or anti-Arab. I have been to protests that had both Israeli and Palestinian flags.

Both Israel and Palestine have a right to exist and both have a fair amount of issues that need to be criticized. Just I often see the criticism be unfairly biased depending on which side you ask.
