:yes-hahaha-yes-l:

:sicko-hexbear:

Otherwise gee fucking idiots I guess you realy needed a whole research department to figure things out like

•Alt-Right supergroup activity remains near its all-time high. This activity has been high since the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago in August (Fig. 1).

•The forums with the greatest use of Violent/Aggressive discourse in November were in Health Misinformation, scoring higher than Incels/Femcels and the Extreme Right (Fig. 7).

•Reference to sex crimes was up 13% in December and was up 32% since August (Fig. 11).

:the-democrat: reading this : “Great, its all according to the plan. Carry on mrMcdoofus, keep us informed, this is very useful information, it will come in handy when we decide to do absolutely nothing for the next 2 years.”

I’d like to say something to the Richard Rogers’s vastly underpaid grad student who is reading this thread. I have a request. I hope you get a raise. I really do. Do you guys have a union? I bet that you don’t. You might want to look into forming one. I hope that doesn’t count as “extreme left” messaging and “hate speech”.

    Best wishes.

Extreme Right includes antisemitic and Christian Identity forums, neo-Nazis, Proud Boys, secessionists, and White pride groups.

Extreme Left includes anarchist and socialist forums.

Wow, these two things are so equal.

The sharp rise in Violent/Aggressive Discourse in the Extreme Left is an artifact of the inclusion of Hexbear.net. The amount of history that can be collected from Hexbear right now is minimal.

Remember guys. If you just police thought, and tell people they aren’t starving or dying, they won’t become radicalized. :so-true:

The fucking stupidity of shit like this. Both right and left radicalization is a result of failing material conditions, not “think groups” like liberals love to believe. If you want the “extremes” to go away, start providing a quality life to people without having to take it from someone else. But naturally that would require people like the ones that did this study to understand the system. It would also require these people to realize they are part of the problem.

Another important thing to note is that they will not crackdown on “internet spaces” until a left-wing one becomes a “problem”. Right-wing spaces will be monitored, but be allowed to fully exist forever until they are a source of direct threat to capital. Leftist spaces threaten capital by nature.

Case in point: when :reddit-logo: decided to ban the chapo sub because it was becoming popular. They had allowed The_Donald to exist all that time and used that as the excuse for banning “extreme forums” when really it was just an excuse to get rid of the leftist subreddit. They even went on a purge of the smaller offshoots that popped up after.

r/The_Donald had already migrated to their own website at that point. They waited for them to leave then used tearing town their “we have moved” sign as evidence of their impartiality while banning r/cth at it’s peak

    :kitsupogi:

Extremism is when you want socialism and understand that the bourgeoisie will try to kill us all to stop it from happening.

Honestly the low level of it in the “extreme left” that they’re tracking seems to be an artifact of having no fucking idea what to track and define as “extreme left”. We are essentially the same as a lot of people that you’ll find in dozens of other communities that they probably glossed over because they look like pretty average socialist spaces.

Like, the average socialist I meet at a protest has exactly the same fucking views as me. They’re not here. But they’d be saying the same shit if they were.

You should include all the soft-left that you’ve glazed over but interpolate the data in such a way that it assumes the platform they’re on isn’t liberal. The only reason the rhetoric out there isn’t just an endless quantity of calls for maoing all landlords and guillotine guillotine guillotine is that everyone knows damn fucking well the left gets banned on every liberal platform for that.

In short, your research only indicates the lack of socialist-run platforms rather than the lack of desire for revolution. Like, did you even include the word revolution in your assessment of leftists? You know what a revolution looks like right?

In other news, this guy’s parents named him Dick Roger lmao

I think its a bit interesting how the Ukraine war basically did not move the needle at all, despite the extremely edgy :reddit-logo: posts saying all the nasty shit against Russians, either they are not counting racism or xenophobia(very likely selective bias here) or as expected the “extreme” devotion to defending Ukraine is just reddit shit that barely registers anywhere else.

They have one graph that corroborates every other finding e.g Google trends. The Ukraine war completely dropped off the radar. It is still relevant but just part of “contemporary” discourse lol.

Good point, where’s the extreme liberalism calling for the murder of the homeless? Execution of all the orcs? Etc etc etc. Doesn’t exist because it’s not a measure of extreme rhetoric but “anyone saying mean things that want to change the status quo or do anti-imperialism”.

        You’re a hack Dick Rogers.

The best part about it is that the peer reviewers also won’t know what any of this stuff is despite being ‘experts’ and thus will let it slide out the rectum of article writing.

I know I shouldn’t really talk about this but I almost got kicked off my school’s undergrad peer review council for rejecting too many papers because I had the audacity to actually check and read their source material which, hey surprise, more often than not didn’t say what they said it said, or even contradicted what they said. I think one of the last straws when they told me to knock it off was when I had remembered reading an article that was basically the same research project, published a month before the paper was written, but was uncited by the paper as a contradictory study, despite complete relevance.

They were like ‘they don’t have to have every journal article possible in there’ and I was like ‘come on they didn’t even bother to check for recent background studies, who knows what other older ones they missed, they probably didn’t even consult a librarian.’ After that I just decided, fuck it, if they don’t care, I won’t care either.

I’m betting that if the US government starts a new war, any advocacy for the war (from the government, the media or normal internet users) wouldn’t register at all, since they don’t define it as “extremism” or a “call to violence”. Just like the only “fake news” regarding 9/11 is people saying that GW Bush did it. Because the US government, NYT, WaPo, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and all other media just lying that Iraq was involved isn’t defined as “fake news” to begin with.

Yet fig. 1 on the extreme left is like a flat line barely above zero compared to the other groups. Hardly a blip. We must :fedposting: harder.

You know I was visiting my parents HOUSE the other day. My father was coming back from a TRIP to WHITE castle. Let me tell you those HEAVILY loaded sliders were the BOMB.

We were thinking for my cousin’s birthday, which happens to share the same as KARL MARX, to maybe TAKE OVER the joint like some kind of REVOLUTION and ARM everyone with enough sliders to take back to SCHOOL. They could demonstrate how it would look like if everyone had FREE LUNCH.

Landlords, who profit from the exploitation of renters, and cops, who serve as the armed force of the ruling class, are two pillars of oppression that must be dismantled for true freedom to be realized. Landlords hoard property and wealth, driving up rent prices and making housing unaffordable for many. Cops, on the other hand, often abuse their power, disproportionately targeting communities of color and perpetuating systemic racism.

To achieve freedom for all, we must rise up against these oppressive forces. It is our duty to demand the abolition of landlords and the defunding and demilitarization of the police. We must resist the capitalist system that prioritizes profits over people, and fight for a society where access to housing is a right, not a privilege.

Let us come together in solidarity and continue the fight for a just and equitable world. Only when the last landlord is strangled with the entrails of the last cop will we truly be free.
