This is excellent, I’ve been ranting for years about what I’ve been calling latent Protestantism, the tendency among Amerikkkan atheists and nonchristian spiritual types to replicate the mores and belief structures of Christianity.

I’ve been calling myself culturally Christian for this reason. I’ve done a lot of work to root out the toxicity of my upbringing but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t fundamentally of that culture.

There are many aspects of Christmas which should be eliminated, both the veneration of an infant fated to die as the ultimate scapegoat vessel of sin and the rampant consumerism.

Having a festival near the winter solstice centered on feasting and family is not necessarily problematic though.

Yeah, that’s more or less what we’ve been doing. To be clear, when I say “culturally Christian,” I’m not saying that I just believe in god without going to church or that I continue Christian traditions and beliefs uncritically. It just feels correct to acknowledge that’s the context I was raised in. Even the most militant atheists raised in deeply Christian areas have a Christian context. The act of negation and all that.

EKO is the next generation in radical enterprise efficiency. Our industry-disrupting sustainability processes are the result of decades of iterative design and study. We guarantee that a 3 month consultation will result in a minimum 80% reduction in operating costs.

It is true that targeted assassinations wouldn’t work though. Every ghoul can be easily replaced with minimal disruption to the system.

Eco terrorism like blowing up pipelines may yet work

Sure, but that takes a lot more resources we don’t yet have built up. Sabotage, however, results in damage that is potentially more lasting and can be achieved by isolated individuals and groups, like what has been happening in Atlanta as police crackdowms on the Stop Cop City protests have intensified.

Gotta remember we already tried propaganda of the deed. It had some practical problems.

    Carbon tax

Good thing multinational companies are famously bad at dodging taxes.

Wasn’t the Unabomber more of a neo-Luddite? So just didn’t like technology because of it’s effect on society? I defo support infrastructure-targeting eco-“”“terrorism”“” in his style though

Read it and you’ll have much more critical support lol. He was explicitly anti-leftist. Disappointing

Yeah he had the one meme line that goes so hard and then the rest is shit. Sorta like an even shittier version of Dorner, kernel of a decent idea that through memes whitewashes their actual politics and actions. At least Dorner arguably got something out of killing people who were not cops.

Remember that people really do get their politics online, and passively through memes, so shitpost responsibly.
