It’s as easy as declaring coal “clean”.

So, no, water won’t be cleaner. Especially not with the new fucknut at the EPA.

No. He will gut the EPA if he doesn’t kill it completely. It will be down to individual states to attempt to regulate that stuff, and even then, states already get a ton of their funding from the federal EPA, so they’re all fucked when that money dries up.

So no more lead service line replacements. No more PFAS removal, no more water quality standards, no more air quality standards… How long before the Potomac is on fire again…

Who needs clean drinking water, amirite?

Of course not. There’s definitely a correlation of some sort between areas with high lead exposure and Republican voters.

I have a friend who studies PFAs at a well known university in my state. Their department is all starting to talk about how they’re expecting people to come into the department and slow down the research as much as possible by whatever means necessary. All because of the Trump presidency.

So the answer is simple. No.

He’s going to follow the same plan as he did for COVID. He’ll remove all regulations and then attack anyone trying to measure the impact. Might even make it illegal to report on pollution if he can.
