Merry Christmas 🎄

I recall one Christmas when I was a child. Hmmm … actually I recall more than one, but I’m thinking of a particular one right now. We were headed to Texas from California on Christmas Eve, my father would drive all night. On these trips my mother would make a pallet of blankets on the back seat from my brother and I, this was back in the days before seatbelts. Driving across the desert, on Route 66, that year added to the magic because it snowed. There were constant sightings of Santa on the radio and my brother, and I would stare out the window into the night sky. We finally tired and fell to sleep. When we woke on Christmas morning, Santa had been there and there were presents in the back seat, complete with stuffed stockings.
