The World: Everyone dislikes you and you are unsafe because you persecute everyone else
Israel: …? … we need to persecute everyone to keep us safe and make everyone like us.
It’s fair to say that’s not the only reason some people dislike them. Doesn’t really excuse most of what Israel’s done, but the true bastard of the story is naturally the British empire for creating/enabling the whole mess to begin with.
