That’s insane pressure on that dev team. They need to be making billions back, or it’s not worth the cost.

To my knowledge they don’t get DOD funding? Aside from maybe for the COD Endowment, their charity thing, if that’s what you’re thinking of?
It was more hyperbole centered around the US military’s use of video games, especially “esports” to recruit children.

Any time I read an article l like this with these kinds of numbers I’m so torn. I play Warzone with family, cross platform. These games are no doubt an undertaking and those involved deserve probably even better pay than they’re getting in many cases. At the same time, as a hobbyist… That’s easily around 100 small games by full teams. And I can’t help but imagine what those people would make.
