Less than a week here and I’m already out of the loop
Lemmy.ml and lemmygrad are two big lemmy instances that are overtly tankie (far left authoritarian communists who like china/ussr). lemmy.ml being the main lemmy instance and the devs of the software.
leftists have been used to interacting with tankies since we end up sharing a lot of the same spaces. but liberals aren’t exactly used to it (and think non-tankie leftists are essentially tankies). naturally the more milquetoast liberal reddit crowd that came here is now “appalled” to see actual tankies.
