    You can be secure in the knowledge that you will get fired if you mess up on some entirely arbitrary metrics that allow bosses to give their problematic faves preferential treatment.

      i know from experience that most of them don’t see an issue with this kind of system; so it makes me wonder how they expect to get that kind of job security when they fight unions alongside their bosses.

      i get that google is a unique case in that google has a union; but it’s poorly member shipped and singular, which makes it an easy target.
