They want to punish blue states (some more than others). If this causes hardship later, that is the point. For once I’m grateful I live in a red state where they don’t seem to be doing this kind of retribution.
There’s a lot of things blue states produce that red states need. When Trump causes shortages in blue states, do you think they’re going to ship what they have to the red states that want them?
California for example produces a massive percentage of the country’s produce.
They are doing plenty of retribution in the red states, it’s just more targeted to certain demographics. When they’re done with them, they will come for you, and the State government will cheer it on. Blue states will at least be fighting back for all their people (citizens or otherwise).
Set fire to the children. That will make the fires tired and they won’t come back.
