The article mentions that an option could be a broadband tax. However, having broadband does NOT mean you’re using BBC services. I don’t have to pay for a TV licence currently as I don’t watch iplayer or any live to air transmissions. I know there are many others who are in the same position. If they tried to force those who are exempt to pay in another way I think there would be a backlash.
