Alexandrian here. This is the real context. You can see the “solution” was adding more lanes, and an ugly curvy bridge in the middle photo.

Egypt is a military state and the army basically bullied and took over all the shores of Alexandria blocking the sea view for most of the city by building hotels, private resorts, bridges full of restaurants and parking lots, and other profit-making ventures. This also made the city A LOT less walkable. There are barely three (!) traffic lights all around that area in the photo that don’t even always work.

They did the same in Cairo by building massive roads and destroying greenery and pedestrian walks, albeit one could argue it wasn’t very walkable in the first place, unlike Alexandria.

So when posting a picture of a place you want to have info of where and when picture was taken? If so I can add a rule for that. But I’m confused about your reaction though because you have the name of the place and 3 photos showing how they ruined the beach with the road and how it turned out, can you elaborate on what’s your problem?

And what do you mean by this sentence?:

is this *fuckcars going to be the same circle jerk Reddits was?

Edit: So you just like to complain and don’t want me to address those issues that you’re making up, noted. And of course people will be angry about cars and car centered infrastructure when they do immense damage to literally everything.

Any community based around hating something inevitably turns into a circlejerking cesspool of hatred and anger.
