Claiming Gazans are brainwashed by Hamas while also saying West Germany was de-nazified by the Allies occupying it (minus USSR obv). Who is brainwashed again?

most gaza citizens have never known anything but this

That’s why it’s hard for me to not have sympathy for everyday Gazans; they’re effectively brainwashed. Part of the deprogramming is day to day contact with Jews/Israelis—I think that’s a major reason why the West Bank is more mellow.

LMAO just no context at all. Radicalized Gazans are the problem, those Palestinians that get ‘day to day contact w Israelis’ are ‘more mellow’.

    agony-deep

Brainwashing, of course, being the bullshit explanation Amerikkkan security goons came up with to explain why a small number of US soldiers surrendered to the Koreans during the war and were like “Hey we war crimes on orders from our superiors and we thought you should know”.

Sneaking suspicion that the kind of day to day contact they’ve been having is the type that would turn someone militant.

day to day contact with Israelis

Yeah spending hours a day going through an onerous checkpoint with literal robot machine guns watching your every move is very calming.

Any peace starts with the elimination of Hamas. After that, maybe Gaza should have IDF presence until an 18-year-old Gazan doesn’t remember them at all.
