For the anniversary this year, CIG is giving players the ability to purchase the F8C finally!
Just loot a golden ticket in game and take it to a ship rental kiosk. You’ll get a 24 hour rental and you will be able to purchase the ship on the store ($260 warbond 😞)
So great to see this a reminder that I wasted money on this flaming bag of dog shit that I open the door to see occasionally.
Oh please sir, may I spend a few hundred more dollars?
HAHAHAHAHA, no.
Something has to be born to have a birthday. This thing is still a fancy tech demo that fundraised over half a billion dollars with fancy ships and the promise that you’ll be better than the flocks of plebs that swarm to the game when it finally releases, but it will never release because why kill the golden goose when you can further milk people who are already invested?
Yeah making a huge multiplayer universe isn’t simple, but even the single player Sq42 is what, 7 years delayed?
Starfield was in development for 8 years with none of the technical ambition of Star Citizen, a pre existing engine and studio. CIG started with nothing, no engine, no team, no idea how much funding they would be able to pull together.
Yeah it’s shit that the game has taken so long and CIG have deservedly lost a lot of goodwill over the timelines they set and broke for themselves but the game is playable and coming along.
Anyway, I look forward to reading this same tired take over and over in the coming threads. Guess I will just have to get better at filtering it from the actual discussion of the game.
I can’t say this is exactly how I wanted the F8C to be added to the game, it’s cool to finally be able to acquire it.
You can get it after playing through the single player game. There’s no reason to waste 300 bucks on this and give CIG the stupid event attention. Unless you want to use that thing to gank newbies of course and show how big your epeen is.
Pretty cool to get a chance to fly one of these before Squadron 42. Haven’t looked for a ticket yet but I heard they are pretty easy to find so I will probably do some bunker missions next time I jump in.
This reads like satire
