I plan to do some upgrades and much needed refurbishment to the case in the future specs are as follows

Dell dimension 4600 case Generic alliexpress h61 motherboard I7 3770 10gb ddr3 ram Amd radeon pro wx 2100 Corsair psu 256gb ssd 320gb hdd 90mm case fan

This costed me £61 to build altogether

The only thing sleeping here are the specs 😂 but IMO that’s a very price effective build at around $70-80, surprised OP managed to fit an SSD into that budget too

I got the ssd for free most of the parts I got for free only thing I paid money on was the processor motherboard and psu

        I7 3770 was £20

        Generic alliexpress motherboard was £14

Psu was new old stock it costed just £27

If anyone’s interested in buying one of these boards for themselves then here’s a link https://a.aliexpress.com/_m0Hhd0I

I’m going be looking into pairing a rtx 2060 16gb ddr3 with that old i7 3770 should make for a somewhat decent pairing

I mainly want the 2060 for ray tracing in lighter titles and dlss

Plus it does have some decently powerful components in it i7 3770 packs quite the punch still paired with 16gb of ram and the right graphics card and this’ll be a perfect little sleeper

You should make it a reverse sleeper and deck out the case with RGB and custom loop water cool it

I’ve considered doing a lga 775 reverse sleeper but sadly I don’t have the space for one I wouldn’t mind getting a fancy new case n all that

USB 3, and pcie 3.0! The 3770 was a good choice! Just need to upgrade the small stick of RAM to 8 so you can take advantage of the dual channel memory.

My previous machine (RIP 2019) was an I5-750, some random OEM MSI motherboard, 16GB of DDR3, a Radeon HD6870, a cheapo Kingston SATA III SSD and a couple HDDs borrowed from other builds, all plugged into an older… I want to say 350w (or 400w?) Corsair Bronze PSU I got on sale at the local PC store, all of it built inside an old HP Pavilion Elite case.
