“Based on the video evidence, I determined it was reasonable for Police Officer Alvarez to leave the location for his safety. What was not reasonable, were the actions of the protestors, who created this extremely hazardous encounter,” Caban wrote in the memo, which was obtained from the CCRB via public disclosure law.
So if cops create a “extremely hazardous encounter,” it’s okay for civilians to run them over with cars then right?
I’ll allow it
If you allow it for one inconvenience you have to allow it for every one and at that point it’s based on perception not reality. It’s a slippery slope bud.
NYPD should have thought of that then.
You say that but it will be used as an excuse for a murder/s.
Turn about is fair play.
If the law works against you, you should also work against the law.
What I’m hearing is that if I’m being detained in a manner I don’t feel safe in, I am allowed to use deadly force.
I expect the same treatment as these cops get at my next unsafe traffic stop.
What do you think? You’ve got to ask yourself one question: “Do I feel lucky?”
Dirty fucking class traitors!
