Some Bri*ish Asshat made a movie about an American civil war to be released during an election year. I’m sure this won’t embolden the chuds at all. Everywhere online I see people say that it’s a poorly timed release I see some smug E*ropean talking about “sensitive Americans”. It’s not like film has been used to inspire reactionaries to commit political violence since it has existed or anything. Birth of a Nation? Never heard of it.

I mean Alex Garland’s films are pretty cool imo, I’ve got some hope this one will be interesting at least. I am a little worried that in order to really pull off a “realistic” depiction of civil war or whatever that this looks like it’s trying to go for, you really need to understand dialectical materialism. Gotta understand contradictions in the Base between competing powers, and strains that fuel conflict like resource scarcity, climate change, class struggle etc. Which like, no liberals understand or think about. And if it’s a big enough movie at some point it gets taken over by liberals. So I could see that happening

Don’t worry it thinks Texas, Florida, and California are going to form an alliance. Seems like dialectal materialism will be the least of the accuracy issues
