And it took around an hour, the fastest I’ve gone from blank canvas to completed piece in probably ever. Needless to say it’s very messy when you look beyond the surface level, but I think it works even though going against typical advice.
But that’s the beautiful thing about art, isn’t it? Art is forgiving, and it rewards experimentation.

Sometimes you have to eschew the rules to innovate. This is comic book material.
I’ve always preferred sketchier, messier styles, they give an illusion of extra detail and often have a bit more character than art with smoother, cleaner lines and such
