I know it’s Breitbart, I know they’re like, openly fascist without even a veneer, but what do they think an invasion is? What do they think nations are? Have they heard of the concept of war? even the nazis weren’t like “wtf is wrong with you that’s so fucked up” when the countries they were invading shot back at them.

Clausewitz believed that war only happens when the invaded fight back. Imperialists have always operated on schoolyard bully logic.
Ah yes, I remember fondly the days of school, when someone could fuck with you all day but you were the one causing trouble if you enforced your boundaries. My earliest exposure to the whole “preferring a negative peace which is the absence of tension” thing.
That is literally true. If you don’t fight back it’s not war, it’s something else. Usually colonization.
