It is only deployed to support the reasoning that stupidity is not (essentially) meaningfully accumulated. But yet, imperial positions are the result of accumulated wealth and power, which are very stupid things to do even according to ancient epistemologies. The teleogy of accumulated knowledge is a fallacy and with observation it is clear that what is considered wise or foolish is determined by the same processes that accumulate wealth and power. With that foundation, the philosopher may only reason from their prison cell, forced to imagine futures for accumulated power and to wage a spiritual war against the ancients that successfully prevented such accumulation and were not compelled to rationize accumulation of knowledge as our salvation.

Yeah its just that if you suggest this people treat you like you are insane. People love to bring up privilege and revoke your “ally card” and whatnot as if third party voters and politically aware non-voters haven’t heard it all for decades. The conversation is always so stale. It’s so hard to convince people the election is a red herring. I can’t even bring myself to judge people anywhere near as harshly based on the election because it just isn’t that important.

All this does is invite people to use ML as bait to draw them through the gates of hell. There is no ideology you can call yourself that frees you from criticism.

I will say however, that MLs, whether they are ideologically agreeable or shakey, likely understand the stakes and will quickly reject a lot of bait your average liberal will take.
