Well yeah, Dulcinea is hitting on the Ninth’s cavalier
I know mine because my personality is the stereotype of my sign. It’s just a coincidence, but it’s one that comes up from time to time
I assume it’s in random order for convenience
Ok, but this is more like if one of those was a bird.
True, but they’re demands of a better world. There’s a difference between killing in a revolution and a 60 year old communist government executing an embezzler instead of giving her life in prison
Return 3/4 of what was stolen to get execution downgraded to life imprisonment that’s not getting away with it.
That said, my general opposition to the death penalty does influence me here.
Not just a joke. It’s a thing that used to be more common but is still sometimes done.
Wait, was/is that only a thing here‽

Maybe, but if self interest drives a man to solidarity with women to fight against the patriarchy then most of the women I know who actually read feminist theory would agree that it’s a perfectly valid contributing reason.
As a woman whose male friends have made the same choices as you I gotta say, I’ve always preferred spending an evening supporting a friend to spending it mourning him.
That tracks, traditional gender roles are overly restrictive and force people to deny their needs.
Men, nothing wrong with being masculine if you want, but if a woman demands you “man up” for her at the expense of your emotional needs, you’re better off single.
Yeah Chrysler shit the bed in the 00s and has more or less just been there for a while now
Isn’t stellantis Chrysler? Listen I’m not a betting woman, but I feel like betting against Chrysler has been safe for most of my life, no matter how much I loved the 300M I inherited as a teenager.
Ok but also as an adult, don’t let yourself get into that cycle. Find reasons to get out of the house and meet new people. Even when you’re married. I’ve seen so many adults let themselves become isolated because it’s easy, but ensuring you have hobbies that get you out of the house and talking to people is so valuable
Nothing wrong with being solo poly. Also nothing wrong with choosing to be single for those who prefer it.
Personally I hated monogamy but also I’m happiest married, and so I’m very grateful to have found someone who feels the same as me.
I understand that. One of the cruel realities of the world is that nearly all people have redeeming qualities and some people are generally wonderful except for some damning qualities. Other people in the thread have recommended you The Alt Right Playbook, which is an entire series I love, but the things it recommends are for before this point. There are resources of people who’ve been deradicalized from the far right talking about how they were radicalized and deradicalized and they’re probably your best bet for learning how to deradicalize him.
My recommendation came in part because it sounded like you were asking for permission to walk away from a long term friendship, and the answer is yes, that’s absolutely allowed and nobody here will judge you for it.
It fucking sucks though. And you’re allowed to mourn for the good person he seems committed to stopping being. But don’t hurt yourself trying to save a friend from who they’re choosing to be. And no matter how hard it is to find new friends it’s still worthwhile
In isolation. But let’s look at insurance, to the consumer it’s the opposite of gambling. Gambling is seeking excitement through financial risk, but insurance is accepting that all of life is risky and that you’d rather pay a flat rate every month not to bother with the risk. But to the insurance company it’s not like they’re just holding and waiting, no they’re firstly pooling enough people to attempt to make payouts as stable as possible. Your house burning down is one of the worst days of your life, but it’s just another day at work to the fire department and insurance company, they see that sort of thing regularly. Additionally they hire actuaries and statisticians to minimize their risks and to make sure they aren’t charging people little enough they go under if they have a bad week or month. It’s why you can’t buy house insurance in Florida anymore, they’ve accepted that climate change has resulted in too much volatility in that area and that they wouldn’t be able to get people to pay the cost necessary to sufficiently hold that risk.
That sucks. People expect their engineer to look sort of alive but thankfully they’re ok with disappointment in that regard. Other than that my career has had everything from “wear your Union tshirt when you think the boss is gonna be mad at you” to “why do you expect me to wear these shoes on a factory floor” to “Japanese companies wear uniforms, get over it”. Seriously hated having to wear flats instead of my boots
