    I should have been more clear. This conspiracy theory is crazy. However, as I have heard conspiracy theories in the past that were labeled as conspiracy theories that turned out to be true, I’m not discounting all conspiracy theories just this particular one.

      Someone pointed out once that the conspiratorial nature of some people is exacerbated by the fact that the government does actually perpetrate real conspiracies. The people don’t inherently trust that the government acts in their best interest, because that trust has been broken often.

      Conspiracy theorists are justified to be paranoid towards government actors, but they are not justified to invent facts for which there is little evidence and draw irrational conclusions upon the possibility of “being right.”
