In my 20s I bought an NES because I never had one, despite it being the hottest toy ever during my childhood. It was just too expensive for my parents to get me one, back in the 80s and early 90s.
Every new console generation, I try to picture a dusty stack of them at Goodwill, marked for $30 apiece.
Yeah, for a while they were everywhere. But I found this NES sometime in the early 2000s, complete in box, at a goodwill for $20. They were literally trying to get rid of it. Oh man, such a find!
