Lmao these people genuinely think that the world is against them.

Got my hand stuck in the orphan grinding machine and holy shit can you believe this? I’m being persecuted for my pro-orphan grinding beliefs!!!

They probably witheld funds for some other reason.

Would not be surprised if she got flagged doing some kind of scam or extortion scheme and the system just bounced her automatically. Might even have just been getting money from too many squirrely accounts.

I work with Stripe (not at Stripe) and this is definitely just an automated thing. Stripe is one of the dumbest payments companies ever. They are one of those companies that wants to be a tech company first, and then be good at the thing they claim to be good at second.

So here’s how I know this is automated and an accident. Last month Stripe added some new requirements for their customers to get paid. These requirements are dumb things like “click this checkbox to verify that your website is correct” and shit like that. They did a HORRIBLE job communicating this, even to industry people. If you know nothing about payments (which is most of Stripe’s target market) you maybe would have seen their notifications and been like “I don’t know what that means must not impact me.” Assuming they even notified you at all. If you don’t do whatever dumb thing they need from you in a timely manner they turn off your payments until you do. Simple as that.

Stripe does have teams of people who turn payments off and on but they’re always for mundane reasons like I mentioned above. These people have no idea about libs of tiktok. All libs of tiktok would need to do is log into their stripe account and it’ll say right at the top of the page “your payments are suspended, click here to fix.”

So basically they just have to go confirm their website or their phone number or something dumb and they’ll be paid again. Stripe isn’t out to get them any more than they are out to get the numerous other customers they also are randomly turning off right now due to these new requirements. Hilarious.

Where’s Light Yagami when you need him to deal with immoral criminals everyone just so happens to love?
