Work for what purpose?
There are studies showing its efficacy in treating anxiety yes. https://examine.com/supplements/ashwagandha/#dosage-information
Yups it does. I take it every few days because cycling makes sure it doesn’t get any addictive effects. It keep my mind a bit more relaxed / less anxious. I worry a bit less about stuff. For woman trying to get pregnant it is not advised to use because it could have an affect. If you have any questions let me know
What effect are you hoping to get from it?

It may have a minor effect on stress (though for others it does nothing), but unfortunately many Ashwagandha supplements do not have the dosages they say on the bottle. If you do end up trying it, stick with a reputable brand like Jarrow. Though I have had good luck with Nutricost with other supplements, and they’re much more affordable.
Seems there is reasonable research to back up its efficacy.%20levels%2C%20compared%20with%20placebo.)
This only suggests it may help. The evidence is very weak and inconsistent.
The only reliable effect is liver damage.
It’s promoted by crooks and charlatans. So most manufacturers and retailers are not vetted or monitored, so you have no way of knowing your getting the actual product. Testimonials are almost always positive because people don’t think their stupid enough to buy defective products. They don’t like to admit they’ve been scammed.
If it worked it would be an approved medication that medical professionals routinely prescribe.
