    In 2017 a woman was fined $220,000 for pirating 24 songs. I’m sure the compensation from Sony for stealing your digital library will be similar.

    Clarifying further, Purini confirmed that this means that Sony is willing to provide affected customers with a new digital copy via a streaming service other than Crunchyroll. The executive said that the company is handling subscribers’ requests as they reach out to customer service.

    And companies wonder why piracy is on the rise again…

      Convenience to price ratio. It’s both more inconvenient and more expensive to be bothered anymore with those greedy fucks.

    At a minimum it should be a full refund of the purchase price.

    Ideally it should be the replacement cost of the media in physical forms (i.e. blueray, or printed book, etc)
