Gaza’s government media office accused the Israeli army of “committing a horrific massacre”. More than 70 people were killed and about 250 others wounded, it said in a statement on Thursday.
The citizens had congregated at al-Rashid Street, where aid trucks carrying flour were believed to be on the way. Al Jazeera verified footage showing the bodies of dozens of killed and wounded Palestinians being carried onto trucks as no ambulances could reach the area.
“I have been waiting since yesterday. At about 4.30 this morning, trucks started to come through. Once we approached the aid trucks, the Israeli tanks and warplanes started firing at us, as if it was a trap.
Absolutely psychopathic. I read the other day that aid hasn’t entered north Gaza since the 23rd of January. This seems like the first since then, and their fired upon.
And western governments are still supporting this, selling arms to Israel, and demonising those that stand against it. Appalling world.

Surprisingly, I’m not actually privy to dates of the arms sales of western governments. I do know that the US have rushed through arms sales, Germany has increased sales ten fold since October, and the UK recently issued more licenses to Elbit Systems (and Israeli arms company that operates in the UK). I know a number of different arms factories operate in the UK and Canada as there are often actions to stop them working.
The lack of aid since the 23rd of Jan I was talking about was food primarily for the Gazans in the north.

You seem to have an issue on when arms were sold. Do you have an issue with arms sold prior to January being used to kill hundreds of starving people trying to get food for their family?

Looks like the US is in the process of sending more now:

Previous shipments passed review, not sure why this one won’t also eventually go through.

They are in the process, this is what the process looks like. Get a grip.

In high-school and university it always disappointed me that Palestinians didn’t have enough representation and a platform in global media. During this war on Gazans, I’ve seen every conceivable human rights organization involved criticize Israel and report on its crimes. I’ve seen the CNN write detailed investigate reports about the victims of the Israeli terror state. I’ve seen world leaders demand a ceasefire… and I thought to myself, "surely this time things are better! we are in the media, countries support us (sometimes as people, sometimes as governments, sometimes as both)… now we have all these amazing Palestinian voices speaking on television and in university lectures and media and film festivals… surely this time things will change."
But no, it turned out to worse than the Nakba. 🙂 Turns out lack of representation and media coverage wasn’t the only issue plaguing Palestinians.
So tell me, what is it that makes Palestinians so unimportant in the eyes of Biden? So unworthy of human rights?
Reminds me of that into to that song by DAM (YT, Piped, lyrics in English):
وين ما اروح باشوف حدود ساجنه الأنسانيه
ليه أطفال العالم حره وأنا ما الي حريه ؟
“Wherever I look, I see borders that jail humanity. Why are all the children of the world free but there is no freedom for me?”
Israel needs to be condemned for those horrific actions.
