I was just thinking about Marvel stuff that has gotten unfair negativity. So I was wondering what people are liking. Not just controversial stuff. Just, whatever you’re into at the moment.
What Marvel stuff are you watching right now that you’re enjoying?
I was just talking to a friend who said he hasn’t seen Shang-Chi yet and I was stunned. After cajoling him to watch it, decided to do (yet another) rewatch myself. I love that movie.
Shang-Chi is such a good movie. Awkwafina is basically Asian Natasha Lyonne, and I’m totally here for it.
That’s one of the things I told my friend is that I was so pleasantly surprised by what they did with Awkwafina. Katie was a much better character than I expected.
I was ambivalent about it. I liked everything about it but the story. The characters were great. The acting was great. Some of the fight scenes were great. The main plot was just dumb and I found myself not caring about any of the stuff I was supposed to care about.
