First LE playthrough, just finished my ME1 insanity adept playthrough, and jump right away into ME2 insanity as vanguard, because Ive already finished the trilogy as adept years back.

Man, I’ve forgotten how punishing the second game is. Playing as vanguard didn’t help either. Somehow I’ve managed to scrape through the Archangel dossier after several tries, and now I’m powering through the Mordin mission. Every encounter feels like a life or death situation.

I did the same exact thing, same class too. I had to stop playing for a month or two and then go back to adjust from the whiplash.

After that the only thing that bothers me about 2 is how ridiculous it is that after defeating an invasion force of evil robots everyone decided the best idea was to… create armies of robots. Lol

No wonder. So far I’ve found that trying to turtle up behind cover only postpones the inevitable death. Gotta keep charging. Also the geth plasma shotgun is my new religion.

Yeah, Mass Effect 2 toned down the power scaling of biotics, can’t shoot people into space like Team Rocket or at least it isn’t as easy to.

I think the core of the Adepts kit is Warp and lean heavily on the combo mechanic and one has to rely on team mates to strip defences and then you go to town, it gets a lot more manageable when you can add a party member skill to your list and the addition weapon upgrade.

It feels more being a mage general than a biotic god on insantiy.

I suppose it is a good excuse to let a weapon expert specialise in group ammo buff

It is definitely harder as all your powers go on cooldown as well unlike in 1 where you can cycle them.
