Isn’t that the whole theme of the game though? Jin was raised as a samurai with a strict honor code. He had to sacrifice his identity by adopting to the shadows to save his Island and his uncle who gave him his identity. Sekiro was raised as a shinobi, so stealth was ingrained in him

Jin’s uncle, the dude who lead his army into the the teeth of the Mongols instead of being strategic. I hated that plot. Like fuck your “honor” when you choose it over protecting the people you were supposed to.
