I think sugar is a problem, but I’m not sure this is the only solution. Is it a problem because sugar is too cheap, or because nutritious food is too expensive/unaffordable/unavailable? Probably a little of A and a little of B.
It’s also hard to eat nutritious food when you’re working so much you don’t have the time or energy to make it. If people had proper wages they wouldn’t have to work themselves to death to be able to afford nutritious food and they’d have the time to cook it. And the price gouging that’s occurred for such food in recent years isn’t helping either. Nor is the ridiculous increase in rent/housing.
