      I’m not usually the one to say “the microtransactions aren’t that bad,” but they really aren’t in this game. Most of them are for Wakestones and Rift Crystals which you acquire a ton of just by playing the game. It’s not like a Ubisoft game with the grind built in and stingy resources to push you to the store. If you really need to pay extra money for these things, you must not be playing the game at all.

      The most egregious microtransaction to me was “The Art of Metamorphosis,” which lets you edit your character’s/pawn’s appearance. But you could only actually buy one extra with real money anyway and the patch fully ameliorates that by increasing the amount you can get in-game to 99.

      The Harpysnare Smoke Beacons and Portcrystal microtransactions are still an issue because those are pretty rare. I don’t know if one extra Portcrystal or three extra Smoke Beacons will drastically improve your quality of life, though.

      I’m more annoyed about how rare ferrystones are because you need them to fast travel, but you can’t buy those with real money anyway.
