Hi everyone!! Educator here!!
I haven’t seen any posts about this (excuse me if I missed it) but I figured I’d let you guys know how to care for your items. I’ve read some reviews on products and it seems like a lot of people don’t know the following tips!
-
DO NOT put ANYTHING in the dryer!!! This will extend the longevity of your products by far. Hang-dry always for all lulu items. If absolutely necessary, you can use an air dry cycle to get the lint off but do not use heat AT ALL.
-
Wash cold with similar items. Avoid washing with rough items like jeans, towels, things like that. Harsh zippers and other fabrics can snag the material in the wash.
-
Avoid fabric softener. This thins out fabric and should be avoided at all costs!!
I hope this helps!! 😊
None of my clothes (bedsides house clothes) have ever been in the dryer. I started hanging drying decades ago.
I’m trying to teach my husband this.

Same. House clothes, socks, and towels go in the dryer only

I did as soon as oh about 1998 😂😂😂

I swear by this! I have leggings from 2015 and they’re still in great condition because I always use the delicate cycle, hang dry, and only wash with other active wear.

Been working for lululemon for a decade and I put everything in the dryer. Am I sitting on a mountain of product? For sure. If an item is your baby, then baby it. Air dry helps. But my cats like to pull things off the drying rack and then sit/sleep on them and ain’t nobody got time for that.

I tumble dry all of my stuff, from Pace Breakers to Metal Vent stuff and my SOs Aligns, etc. oops
id:kx3gwcg
Same…been tumble drying on low forever. Oops

I put my lulu in the dryer all the time but on low heat. It is just warm to the touch and my dryer stops with just a tiny bit of moisture left in the clothes. Nary a problem so far. I have dried scuba half zips in the dryer that did in fact shrink the material when I forgot to dial the heat down from medium to low.

Is there a big difference between washing on cold and medium? I just figure bumping up to warm will help clean the clothes better?

I wear my lululemons (different styles of tops, bottoms, and bras) constantly, and I don’t baby them. They are washed and dried in machines with everything else, and years later, they still look perfect.

I wash my lulu separately from everything. Everything inside out. Sweaters, leggings, tanks and tees all separately depending on material. I am Uber protective of my stuff. All hang dry!
id:kx4ht9w
This is the case for nearly all of my lulu clothing with the exception of my Scuba hoodies and sweatpants. To keep them soft, I’ll pop them into the dryer for 20 mins, delicate, no heat, and then hang them to dry.

Question, do you unzip the jackets or keep them zipped when putting it into the washer?
id:kx4cvl5
I keep them zipped but turn them inside out! That way the zippers don’t catch on anything else
id:kx4cycs
For me, I like to zip, flip inside out, then put it in a laundry bag-I’ve had zippers come open during washing & snag other clothes/catch on a button hole or something.

Where you get laundry bag from

Amazon-I just bought a couple of mixed size sets.

Too much work… Everything goes in the washer on cold, everything goes in the dryer on low/medium heat. No issues 🤷🏻♀️

Except for the wunder puffs. I put those in the dryer to fluff them up. Everything else I hang dry.

Anything? What about sweats? Classic cotton blend sweats? Lulu use to boast on their “don’t worry it’s preshrunk so there’s no surprises”. Is that no longer the case?

Educator here: i never ever air dry my stuff and it’s actually fine.
id:kx468vy
Same!!
id:kx491zs
And I’m currently wearing aligns from 2018, per the size dot 🫶🏼🥳
id:kx46d63
Ya ain’t nobody got time for that I’ve got a 1 year old lol
id:kx4r023
Same and same.
id:kx8sqww
I put my align leggings in the drier one time and it totally ruined mine 😭
id:kx5tz8j
And wash inside out!! Esp if you wash with non-like items to avoid pilling and snags!!
id:kx40dcf
Yep, this is my big thing with almost all laundry items, but especially things that are prone to pilling-it helps prevent lint buildup on the pulled spots so they look much better.

Whether you air dry or tumble dry or hang it over an open flame those scubas are gonna shrink and fade 💀💀💀
