An uber-lite rules hack for Old School Roleplaying Games.
If you like Knave, Into the Odd, DCC, OSE, LotFP, and the like, you will probably enjoy this.
Featuring: -pay what you want -quick character creation -old school compatibility -a unique leveling system -fast and fun combat -different character sheets for characters, 0-level characters/hirelings, and even pack animals -an extremely exhaustive list of medieval occupations
You make the same error the majority of people does, Brew.
You compare your game to others, without providing any details as to what aspects they share. There’s nothing specified that makes the possible recipient say “wow, I want to play the game”.
Effectively, 99% of people are going to hit “just take me to downloads” thinking “eh, it’s probably the same shit everyone does, gonna add it to a library and read… sometime… in the future… probably… OH, WHAT’S THAT OTHER PYWY GAME FEATURING QUIRKY NAME AND ‘similar to…’ PREMISE?!”
tl;dr: “sell me on your game, and do it well” is a must, not an option. 😉
I’m not worried. It’s a 15 page hack. If your interest wasn’t piqued by the absurd list of medieval occupations, I don’t know what to tell you! The people who have played it with me enjoyed it and now maybe others will as well. That’s fine for now.
Does this game have anything to do with Bob and Doug MacKenzie?
Get outta here ya hoser!
I’m sure you meant to say take off, eh?
Dang it! lol
