With Hamas also rejecting a ceasefire this is not getting better anytime soon.

Israel did not offer a ceasefire. It makes no sense for them to do so as their goal is not to defend themselves, but to exterminate the Palestinian people.

Again this shit? There’s a reason Hamas has been rejecting the US’s “ceasefires”, and that’s because there’s no mechanism to prevent Israel from attacking Rafah after it ends. Israel has been clear they’ll attack Rafah either way. So throwing away all their leverage (also known as hope for a slightly less miserable future) for a pause in the genocide would just be stupid. Hamas has already stated the ceasefire they want and Israel has rejected it time and time again.

Are you actually arguing that Hamas is a legit governing entity with reasonable goals that include the well being of Palestinian citizens?

I mean yes. They’re a dictatorship, don’t get me wrong, and terrorists depending on who you ask, but the idea that they don’t give two shits about Palestinians and want the conflict with Israel to continue forever is simply not supported by anything from the last 20 years. Hamas can best be thought of as the Palestinian version of the Troubles IRA, and while the IRA was… That I don’t think you can argue that they didn’t want the well being of the Irish people.

Uh… Literally yes. They’d not considered a terrorist organization in the UN, for example. Whether Hamas is a terrorist organization was never as clear cut as the US and Israel would want you to believe. Not that it matters, but there you go.

You’re willing to look at them and say you don’t think they’re a terrorist organization? And you expect to be taken seriously?

They’re doing similar things to the IDF.

I put them both in the terrorist state category.

                  Both terrorists, both governments.

I mean so does the UN. Anyway I recognize they do terror, but calling them a terrorist organization would be a denunciation of all their actions, not just the terror, so they’re in a weird spot.

From what we heard about the Iranian government informing the families that the hostages are dead, it looks like Hamas rejected the ceasefire because they aren’t ready yet to admit they murdered the remaining hostages.

Uh… What? Why the fuck would they even do that?

I highly doubt they fed the hostages when their own people are starving so honestly you can thank Israel for that mess lmao

Let’s address just the starvation, because that was legit the only topic of conversation.

If Israel doesn’t let supplies in, how tf is “Hamas” supposed to feed their prisoners of “war?”

They’re “starving” the prisoners because they themselves can’t eat. Don’t be dense.

Israel has been planting seeds of genocide for decades. They’re getting exactly what they always wanted.

Because genocides don’t get a big rubber stamp with “we started Project: Fuck All Palestinians In the Ass on June 16th, 1955 at 13:42:33 EST”, dumbass

That’s just the first date the camps took prisoners, my guy, you could argue quite easily that the genocide started sooner than that, during planning. Or, like many historians, you could say the genocide didn’t start until the explicit goal of the final solution to the Jewish problem was decided upon and the Holocaust began in ernist, which would be in 1941.

There’s plenty of documentation for what the Isrealis have done, your shitty argument was that because we couldn’t agree on an exact start date there must be no genocide. That’s a stupid position.
