      Nah, that’s based entirely on “communism bad”. If we take the Russian Empire to be the successor (as a joke ofc), then its successor would be the Soviet Union, whose primary successor is the Russian Federation.

      Basically, Stalin was the Roman emperor and now Putin is.

        yes, but all discussions of the roman empire’s succession must be conducted under the banner of “communism bad”, even by communists. otherwise it’s just absolutely silly :D

          It is indeed silly. It got silly when the Russian Empire claimed to be the “Third Rome”.

          Also to get sillier, Kazakhstan was the last to officially leave the Soviet Union, making them the proper successor actually.
