    I’m just gonna go ahead and say that a mechanic based upon flashing a japanese symbol on the screen for a nanosecond and you then have to react based on the specific sign is a stupid fucking mechanic.

      It only shows one: 危

      Which means danger. It just means you can’t block/party whatever attack is about to happen. You have to figure out what to do based on what the enemy’s attack is. Low sweep means you jump, forward thrust means you do the kick Parry thing. Anything else and you dodge out of the way.

      Nah, it’s a good way to test if you’re actually paying attention to the enemy or if you’ve zoned out

      And like axont said, there’s only one symbol so it doesn’t matter if you can read it.
